This is a tall bearded iris that blooms in mid-spring to a height of 3 ft. Both standards (upright petals) and falls (pendant petals) are a lovely shade of orange with rich reddish-orange beards. The sword-like leaves are arranged in fans. Plant the rhizomes just below the soil surface and 2 ft. apart as they will spread. Divide every 3 to 5 years because they tend to become overcrowded and will not bloom well. Either replant or gift them to iris-loving friends. Deer will not graze.
