The elegance of tall bearded irises is hard to match whether in the garden or a vase. This iris has large blue ruffled flowers with lovely violet over tones. Plant the rhizomes just below the soil surface and 2 ft. apart spreading the roots out and down into the soil. Divide every 3 to 5 years. Consider inter-planting with the Orange Iris germanica for a truly stunning display. Deer will not graze tall bearded irises.
