Also known as ‘The New Bern Lily’, this is our signature bulb. You will find it in our bulb sale every year. The long-lived flowers that bloom in the fall were brought from Japan to New Bern by Captain William Willis Roberts as a gift to his wife Elizabeth. The flower spikes reach 18 inches in height and love well-drained soil and partial shade. These wonderful coral-red flowers are a welcome addition to any garden and often form colonies over the years.
