Elegant velvety rich bluish- purple flowers bloom profusely in late spring on 36 in. tall stems. They like moist soil in full or partial sun and can be planted at the edge of ponds. Unlike bearded irises, they are not prone to pests. They are suitable for tubs or containers and, out in the garden, spectacular in mass planting.
