Gladiolus specie byzantinus also known as Corn Lily is a gorgeous plant that blooms in late summer to early fall. They are slightly smaller and hardier than their more familiar Gladiolus cousins often used to decorate church altars. The numerous deep purplish-red flowers bloom on 20 to 24 in. stems. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Like their cousins, they make a great cut flower.
