Native to the Himalayas, this 5 ft. tall Ginger Lily is quite hardy in this area as well. It carries long brilliant red stamens and the flowers resemble pale yellow butterflies with a fragrance that perfumes the late summer evenings. It prefers medium to wet soils and full sun to partial shade. It will spread slowly by rhizomes and also makes a stunning addition to a container garden.
