Haemanthus multiflorus is also known as Scadoxus multiflorus, ‘Blood Lily’ and ‘Powder Puff Lily’. It is a native of Sub-Saharan Africa and a unique and quite showy 4 ft. tall houseplant when in bloom. It should be potted in good, well-draining potting soil and placed in a sunny location to encourage blooms. To help the blooms last, it is best to move it into bright but not direct light. It flowers best when pot-bound and is considered easy to grow.
