Known also as Green Snowdrops, Galanthus is a sweet harbinger of spring. This February bloomer is a 6 in. tall perennial with shiny strap-shaped bright green leaves at the base of the plant. It produces small nodding white flowers with green markings on the inner segments. Snowdrops do not tolerate full sun so they are perfect for naturalizing in shadier areas of the garden.
