Lily of the Nile is a wonderful container plant for this area in full sun to partial shade.  These pretty plants originating in South Africa are popular for their blue bell-shaped flowers and deep green grass-like foliage. They are fragrant and will bloom throughout the summer. Butterflies adore them while deer avoid them. They tend to grow to about 18 in. tall and are drought tolerant.
